FirstHealth is expanding access to personalized, preventive health care with the relocation of FirstHealth Concierge Medicine and FirstHealth Functional Medicine to a new location at 401 Capital Drive, Suite B, in Whispering Pines.

In addition to relocating both programs, the new space introduces advanced wellness and recovery services, including whole-body cryotherapy, infrared sauna therapy and body composition analysis.

The practices began welcoming patients and members on June 29.

“Our concierge and functional medicine programs are designed for individuals who want a more proactive and personalized approach to their health,” said Daniel Barnes, D.O., president of FirstHealth Physician Group, in a press release. “By bringing these programs together in this new location, we’re adding new wellness services and creating a unique environment focused on prevention, wellness and helping patients achieve their long-term health goals.”

FirstHealth Concierge Medicine offers an enhanced patient-provider relationship with a focus on preventive care, wellness and chronic disease management. Members receive benefits such as 24/7 access to a provider, same- or next-day appointments, extended office visits and personalized care coordination. Memberships range from $1,800 to $2,500 annually and include benefits such as personalized training, nutrition counseling and massage therapy.

The FirstHealth Concierge Medicine team includes William M. Johnstone III, M.D., and Katie Livrago, FNP.

“I had a patient last week ask me how I felt about this building, and the word that came to mind was proud, proud of our team, our team’s dedication and involvement, and teamwork, and getting us to this point. Also, proud that this building represents FirstHealth’s commitment to an innovative approach to caring for people,” shared Johnstone during the ceremony.

FirstHealth Functional Medicine focuses on addressing the root causes of health concerns through a comprehensive, whole-person approach. Membership options are available for individuals seeking advanced preventive care and wellness support, as well as those managing complex, multi-system health conditions.

Functional Medicine services support patients experiencing concerns such as fatigue, digestive issues, metabolic health challenges, hormone imbalance, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, cognitive concerns, stress and sleep issues, and healthy aging goals.

Memberships range from $2,500 to $4,500 annually and consultative and a la carte services are also available. The FirstHealth Functional Medicine team includes Scott Jamison, M.D., and Jennifer Pelletier, PA-C, R.D.

The new location also introduces several wellness and recovery services available to both program members and the general public.

The InBody 380 body composition scanner provides a detailed analysis of body composition, including muscle mass, body fat percentage, hydration status and cellular health, helping individuals track progress and make more informed decisions about their health and fitness goals.

The MECOTEC whole-body electric cryotherapy chamber exposes the body to extremely low temperatures for short sessions and is designed to support recovery, reduce inflammation, ease muscle soreness and promote overall wellness.

The Medical Spa 487 infrared sauna uses therapeutic heat to promote relaxation, improve circulation, support recovery and enhance overall well-being.

As part of their membership benefits, Concierge Medicine and Functional Medicine members receive complimentary sessions that can be used for cryotherapy, infrared sauna treatments or InBody scans. These services will also be available for purchase by community members who are not enrolled in a membership program.

FirstHealth Cardiology plans to open in the same location later this year, creating a convenient location for patients seeking primary, preventive and specialty care services.
