TRP Sumner PLLC is proud to announce that Robert “Jason” Poole, CPA, CGMA, Partner, has been appointed by North Carolina State Auditor Dave Boliek to serve on the North Carolina State Lottery Commission.
Poole brings more than 24 years of experience in public accounting and advisory services, helping businesses, families, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities across North Carolina make informed financial decisions and achieve long-term success. His expertise includes accounting, financial reporting, auditing, management consulting, tax services, and strategic business advisory.
His appointment recognizes a distinguished career built on financial leadership, public trust, and service to the people and institutions of North Carolina. “Public trust is built through transparency, accountability, and responsible leadership. I am honored by the opportunity to serve on the North Carolina State Lottery Commission and contribute to its important work on behalf of our state,” remarked Jason Poole, CPA, CGMA, in a press release.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Poole has established a strong record of civic and professional leadership throughout the state. He currently serves on the East Carolina University Board of Trustees and served as Chair of the Board from July 2023 through June 2025, helping guide strategic initiatives and governance decisions for one of North Carolina’s leading public universities.
Poole also serves on the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA) Board of Directors and is the current Chair of the NCACPA Advocacy Committee, where he works alongside policymakers and accounting professionals to advance sound financial policy and strengthen the CPA profession across North Carolina.
