Ryder announces layoffs in Fayetteville

According to a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) report, Ryder Trucks plans to lay off 73 workers at its Fayetteville location at 2486 Gillespie St., effective Oct. 12, 2026.

Operations at the site are expected to continue. The new logistics provider has expressed interest in retaining as many employees as feasible. Additionally, Ryder is working on redeployment efforts to retain employees.

. There are no bumping rights applicable to employees terminated as a result of this “mass layoff.”
