Cumberland County Schools (CCS) celebrated a new chapter of CCS Excellence on Thursday, Aug. 20, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for Pauline Jones High School, located at 225 B St. in Fayetteville.

District and school leaders, staff and community partners gathered to commemorate the grand opening and learn more about the school’s mission, vision and purpose in supporting student success.

Following the ribbon-cutting, the program featured a spoken-word presentation by Lost Voices and a call to action encouraging community partners to support the school and its students. Guests were also invited to take a self-guided tour of the school, explore classrooms and meet faculty and staff.

The celebration highlighted Pauline Jones High School’s commitment to creating opportunities for students while strengthening partnerships among the school, families and the broader community.
