Sandhills Community College & Moore County Chamber partner to present symposium for workplace well being

The Moore County Chamber in partnership with Sandhills Community College, Moore County Schools and Moore County Economic Development will be hosting their Annual Talent Symposium on Friday, Oct. 9, at 9 a.m. in the Owens Auditorium at the Bradshaw Performing Arts Center. Registration and networking starts at 8 a.m. The symposium, titled "Leading with Employee Mental Health in Mind: Practical Strategies for Workplace Well-Being," will provide employers, managers, HR professionals, nonprofit leaders and community stakeholders with practical tools to address one of today's most significant workforce challenges. Participants will gain insights into current workplace mental health trends, leadership strategies, practical tools and actionable steps that can be immediately implemented within their organizations. 

Speaker, Dr. Marie-Line Germain is a Professor of Human Resources and Leadership at Western Carolina University, is an award-winning author, researcher, workplace consultant and host of the Dear Human Resources podcast.  The partners look forward to hosting professionals at the leadership and workforce retention symposium designed to help build a healthier, more productive, and sustainable workplace.  Participants will gain current insights into employee mental health, develop a clearer understanding of leadership's role in supporting workplace well-being, and learn practical, low-cost strategies that can be implemented immediately within their organizations. Attendees will also explore the unique challenges facing today's workforce while developing a personalized workplace well-being action plan.
