Registration now open for the 2026 “Coolest Thing Made in MO.HO.CO.” Competition at Sandhills Community College

Registration is officially open for the 2026 "Coolest Thing Made in MO.HO.CO." (Moore and Hoke Counties) contest, set to take place on Thursday, October 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the campus of Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst.
Hosted in partnership with the Raeford-Hoke Chamber of Commerce, the Moore County Chamber of Commerce, the Moore County Economic Development Partnership, and Sandhills Community College, the annual competition highlights local industry, innovation, and craftsmanship across Moore and Hoke counties.
Local businesses and creators are invited to showcase their products directly to more than 300 college students, offering a unique opportunity to build brand awareness with the region's future workforce and customer base while competing for countywide bragging rights. Eligible entries include any product manufactured, baked, built, engineered, sewn, grown, designed, crafted or created within Moore or Hoke County. Participating sectors include:
- Food, Agriculture, and Beauty Products
- Manufacturing, Defense, and Technology
- Construction, Automotive, and Medical Products
- Textiles, Furniture, Handmade Goods, and Consumer Products
