Cumberland County Schools Class of 2026 earns $44 Million in scholarships

The Cumberland County Schools (CCS) Class of 2026 continues to shine, even as the graduates are moving on to their next chapter.

Together, the graduating seniors earned $44,416,499.16 in scholarships. The total includes academic, athletic and military scholarships. Graduates from Cumberland International Early College High School led the way, earning a combined $8.3 million. Westover High School also had a remarkable total of $6.5 million.

“I am extremely proud of the Class of 2026 for their continued excellence, both in and out of the classroom. The scholarship total reflects the dedication, work ethic and determination they bring to every opportunity,” said Dr. Eric C. Bracy, superintendent of Cumberland County Schools in a press release. “It also reflects the hard work of our teachers, counselors and school leaders, along with the support of our families and community partners, who together help provide the encouragement, relationships and opportunities our students need to succeed.”

In addition to scholarships, graduates left high school with college credits, associate’s degrees, career credentials, job offers, military commitments, and much more.
