FSU named new NC Promise School

Fayetteville State University just announced it is the newest NC Promise School.
Starting in the fall of 2022, undergraduate tuition at FSU will be $500 dollars a semester for in-state students and $2,500 dollars for out-of-state students.
The State of North Carolina established the NC Promise Tuition Plan to increase access to quality university education by reducing student costs.
There are some additional costs aside from tuition, but the university says that under certain circumstances, some costs may be waived.
Without NC Promise, the total cost for living on campus would be $8,528.17. In-state undergraduates' total under NC Promise is $7.531.17. This includes full-time tuition rate, fees, health insurance, and room and board. The total for in-state undergraduates living off campus is $3,229.40 under NC Promise.
The total for out-of-state students not under the NC Promise is $14,332.21. The total for out-of-state undergraduates living on campus with NC Promise is $9,537.17, while out-of-state undergraduates living off campus total is $5,229.40.
Students eligible for the NC Promise tuition rate include first-time freshmen, transfer students, online students, readmit students, international students and continuing students. Graduate and visiting students are not eligible.
To be included in the NC Promise tuition rate, one must apply and be admitted to Fayetteville State University as an undergraduate student. There are no additional applications required.
