The Fayetteville Woodpeckers hosted their inaugural Non-Profit Gala at Segra Stadium in the AEVEX Aerospace Veterans Club on Friday, Jan. 28.

At the gala, four businesses and thirty-seven nonprofit organizations were in attendance including community leaders, AEVEX Aerospace, and Walsingham Group.

The gala was put together to celebrate the impact nonprofit organizations have on the Fayetteville community.

This night was a "thank you" from the Woodpeckers to these nonprofits and showcased the Woodpeckers' support to them.

All nonprofits and businesses in attendance received one ticket courtesy of the Woodpeckers Foundation. Plus-one tickets were $15, and all proceeds went back to the Foundation.

The gala included a cocktail hour, dinner, short program and dance.

The short program included an overview of the Foundation and an update on its progress. This program also included a thank-you speech to the nonprofits and a short story of a community member impacted by a nonprofit organization in attendance.

The Woodpeckers Foundation is a charity associated with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers organization. They focus on supporting initiatives that give back to youth sports, the military and the surrounding community.

Since August, the Foundation has donated $1,500 in supplies for homeless veterans, $4,500 to nonprofits, and $900 to help make Segra Stadium sensory inclusive for people of all abilities.
