The North Carolina Defense Technology Transition Office and the North Carolina Military Business Center are hosting their Defense Innovation Unit Regional Roadshow virtually from 1-5 p.m. on Feb. 16.
The North Carolina Military Business Center is located in Fayetteville at Fayetteville Technical Community College.
The Defense Innovation Unit was started in 2015 to identify and attract commercial technology to solve complex national defense problems. In the last six years, DIU has presented approximately 279 prototype contracts, with 41 percent transitioning into production.
DIU was the first innovation outreach by the Department of Defense.
This webinar will inform those in attendance what DIU is looking for in the coming year and how to engage with them.
The webinar will also include discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence/machine learning, autonomy, cyber, energy, commercial solutions, human systems, space, and national security innovation network and capital.
Attendance is encouraged for all innovators, technologists, those interested in understanding and possibly contributing to our national defense, those in the Innovation Ecosystem (commercial, private, public-private partnerships, academia, investors, etc.), and current federal contractors seeking innovation partnerships.
There is no cost to attend the Roadshow, however registration is required in order to receive the virtual platform credentials. For more information, visit https://www.ncmbc.us/defense-innovation-unit-diu-2022-regional-roadshow/.
