United Way's Youth Growth Stock Trust is accepting grant applications until March 31 at midnight.
The Youth Growth Stock Trust was started in 1992 by Robert Short, with a mission to better the wellbeing of youth in different communities. Organizations interested in applying for the grant must have a 501(c)3 status; must have served in the Cumberland County area for at least two years; and must have a staffed office located in Cumberland County that provides service to county residents for at least 20 hours per week.
The United Way of Cumberland County is the administrator of the trust and controls which grants are awarded to local programs, initiatives, schools, and scholarships that will present more opportunities for the youth of Cumberland County.
United Way of Cumberland County's goal is to build up the community for a better life by improving education, financial stability, health, and critical basic needs. By addressing these areas in need of help, Cumberland County has seen changes that have benefited the community.
