Defense Alliance of North Carolina to host Science & Technology forum

The Defense Alliance of North Carolina is hosting an in-person Science & Technology forum from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16 at Fayetteville State University. The theme for the forum is "Cybersecurity and Emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) Application in Cybersecurity." The event will have four panelists and a keynote speaker to speak on the topics.

Dr. Rajeev Agrawal, is the deputy director of cyber-AI, DDR&E, and Office of the Under Security of Defense Research and Engineering who will speak on the DoD perspective on national cybersecurity research directions. 

The panelists include Dr. Michael Roman, executive director of research and engineering at IOMAXIS, LLC., Dr. Sambit Bhattacharya and Dr. Daniel Okunbor, professors of computer science at Fayetteville State University, and Kevin Lybrand, a lead scientist on machine learning and data who will speak on applying emerging technologies to improve cyber operation.

The goal of DANC is to grow North Carolina's defense economy to create new longterm investments and job opportunities.
