Jurassic adventures await at Dinosaur World

A prehistoric-themed attraction, Dinosaur World, opens at Sweet Valley Ranch tomorrow.

 

Attendees will be transported via shuttle to Dinosaur Trail, where they will find ¼ mile path of 25 animatronic dinosaurs of various sizes, an abandoned research lab, observation booths and special effect props. 

 

“We take pride in not being one of those ‘parking lot dinosaur attractions’,” said Fred Surgeon, owner of Sweet Valley Ranch. “We spared no details in taking guests back to a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth.”  

 

The attraction is reminiscent of Jurassic Park, sans peril and PG-rated  – so yes, this is appropriate for children and adults alike. Tickets include access to a prehistoric museum, a reptile house, a fossil dig, a Dinosaur Playland and walking the grounds to view the hundreds of animals on site. 

 

Dinosaur World will also have an Interactive Rescue Mission on Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m. where attendees will assist in finding missing staff who helped create Dinosaur World. 

 

Not included in the tickets but available at a small additional cost is a farm tour, a go-kart nature trail tour, and fishing opportunities with fishing supplies included.

 

Dinosaur World opens June 9 and closes August 8 and is open weekly from Wednesday through Sunday. It opens at 10 a.m. each day. Tickets range from $16 to $39 for adults and $8 to $19 for children 3-12.
