The Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is launching a new passport program called the Sandhills Pour Tour on April 1 that allows holders to earn stamps and prizes as they explore local breweries and towns.
The passports are free and can be picked up at the CVB’s office in Southern Pines or at any of the participating locations. Once participants have visited all the locations and received specific stamps for each business, they will receive prizes.
The participating locations include the Hatchet Brewing Company in Southern Pines, the Southern Pines Brewing Company on Air Tool Road. and Pennsylvania Avenue, the Southern Pines Growler Company, Pinehurst Brewing Company, Railhouse Brewery in Aberdeen, and the James Creek Cider House in Cameron.
Passport holders with fully-stamped passports receive a 16-ounce Sandhills Pour Tour mug and a limited edition Donald Ross 150th anniversary challenge coin, and their names will be entered into a drawing to win a future two-night stay in the Pinehurst area.
“This program is designed to drive business and visits to participating partners, where passport holders can get stamps with any purchase, but it also encourages them to explore some of our Moore County towns,” said Phil Werz, president and CEO of the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The passport includes several QR codes with links to great shopping, dining, golf information and more. There are also links to area hotels and transportation, if needed, as we want people to experience the Pour Tour responsibly and always designate a driver.”
