New parking hours begin in downtown May 2

On May 2, downtown Fayetteville will begin its new paid parking hours.

The new enforced hours will be from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.Parking will remain free on Saturdays and Sundays. 

The Fayetteville City Council approved this new plan at its April 11 meeting and stated that parking signs will be updated to reflect these changes.

Parking rates will remain the same as listed below:

Monday-Friday: on-street rate is $1 per hour.

Monday-Friday: off-street rate is $1 per hour, $5 daily maximum.

Franklin Street and Hay Street parking decks: rate is $1 per hour, $5 daily maximum. (First hour is free at the Franklin Street location).

Event Paid Parking will be located on off-street lots, Franklin Street and Hay Street parking decks with a $5 rate.
