On May 20-21, the Elizabethtown-White Lake Chamber of Commerce is commencing its 44th Annual White Lake Water Festival.
The theme for this year’s festival, ‘Make a Splash,’ will include new features such as a Putt-Putt Golf tournament and a float contest.
The festival will kick off at 8 a.m. on May 20 with the Elizabethtown Rotary International Golf Tournament. On May 21, the day will begin again at 8 a.m. with the White Lake Water Festival Car Show.
“We want to start out with a big splash,” Terri Dennison, the Chamber’s executive director said. “We are asking everyone to surround the lake, especially the area from Camp Clearwater to Goldston’s Beach at 6 p.m. Friday night. When they hear a loud horn, they should jump or splash loudly into the water.”
Some other exciting features in the festival this year include performances by Autumn Tyde, Rivermist and the Pink Slips, a vehicle show featuring classic cars, trucks, and other vehicles, and a parade.
There will also be a variety of food vendors and food trucks in attendance. The White Lake Fire Department will host a chicken BBQ at 11 a.m. with plates at $10 each.
