The Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Small Business at Fayetteville Technical Community College is hosting a seminar to help new and developing nonprofits.

The seminar will take place on May 14, from 9 a.m. to noon in the FTCC General Classroom Building, in room 114, located at 2817 Fort Bragg Road.

The seminar will include information on how to organize as a nonprofit with a 501(c)(3) status, how to maintain compliance and tips to grow existing nonprofits to better serve the community. Cheryl Campbell, department chair of FTCC’s business programs, and Kent Hill, director of CIES, will speak at the event.

This seminar is being offered at the request of the City of Fayetteville and Cumberland County.

“This seminar is free and open to all nonprofits in Cumberland County although it is geared to those nonprofits that are helping the homeless,” Hill said. “This is part of the city and county’s effort to alleviate homelessness in our area.”

Limited seating is available; those who wish to attend must register here.
