Shari Fiveash, who joined the Greater Fayetteville Chamber last year as the CEO and president, has resigned.
In a press release on June 6, Tammy Thurman, chairperson of the Board of Directors at the Chamber, authored a statement. It reads as follows:
“Shari Fiveash served as President and CEO of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce from May of 2021 through and including May 13th, 2022. During her tenure and through her leadership the Chamber grew its membership base and improved financial management. Ms. Fiveash resigned from the Chamber, and we wish her well.
The Chamber Board of Directors is actively planning a search for a new President and CEO.

On June 7, Fiveash told Greater Fayetteville Business Journal, “Randy and I moved here to be of service to Fayetteville and Cumberland County. I am proud of the accomplishments we have made to help the business community grow and prosper. I want to thank the community for their increased involvement and support.”
