FSU’s Online MBA remains amongst top in N.C.; Moves up six spots nationally in latest U.S. News rankings

Fayetteville State University’s Broadwell College for Business and Economics (BCBE) enhanced its national Online MBA rankings six spots from last year and remains among the top programs in North Carolina according to the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Online Programs.

The BCBE’s Online MBA ranks in the top three for Veterans and top five overall between public schools in the state. The program ranked No. 59 among public universities and No. 88 in the national rankings, out of 345 total universities evaluated – these ranking categories experienced an increase of 10 and six spots respectively.

“I applaud the consistent work happening in our Broadwell College and the continuous effort to be a top-choice institution for military-affiliated individuals,” said Monica Leach, Ed.D., FSU’s provost and senior vice chancellor for academic affairs, in a press release. “Dean Ulysses Taylor and team have positioned our program as a leader in the state for consecutive years and their work is quickly moving forward nationally as well.  FSU is a premier, affordable and accessible institution for any student.”

“I have tremendous pride in our Online MBA program and the product we deliver to our students,” said Ulysses Taylor, J.D., dean of FSU’s Broadwell College of Business and Economics, in a press release. “Consistently ranking as a top program in the state and growth in national rankings are evidence of the remarkable work of our faculty and students, program offering and partnerships, which present FSU as a great opportunity for any person seeking to achieve their next level of success.”

U.S. News assessed schools in the Best Online MBA Programs based on several objective factors, such as student engagement, faculty credentials and services and technologies.

A hub for innovation: FCEDC repurposes landmark Fayetteville building into a future-focused hub

FCEDC has officially moved its staff and operations to 611 W. Russell St. The 35,800- square-foot center was previously home to Homemakers Furniture and Interiors. Renovations began in the fall of 2025 and are expected to be completed in the next six to eight months. Currently, FCEDC staff are working within an open 7,500-square-foot floor plan as initial improvements progress.
