HealthKeeperz Lowers Health Care Costs by Providing In-Home Services and Medical Equipment

Sponsored Content provided by Tim Brooks - President, Healthkeeperz, Inc.

Founded in 1966, HealthKeeperz is a second-generation family business serving North that is headquartered in Pembroke, North Carolina. On the verge of a significant transformation, HealthKeeperz is well positioned to continue to deliver health care services and value through in-home hospice care, case management services for disabled adults, and a range of home medical equipment.

The core of HealthKeeperz mission is to support patients’ independence and help them remain in their home as long as possible while maintaining reliable access to necessary medical equipment, end-of-life care, or disabled adult case management through HealthKeeperz’ Community Alternatives Program. With these services, HealthKeeperz offers flexibility and value to the people of North Carolina and supports improvements in health and well-being of patients and their families.

Given that most of HealthKeeperz services are reimbursed through Medicare or Medicaid, our company offers patients good value. Our operation also helps to lower overall health care costs, since the experienced in-home care and services HealthKeeperz provides is less costly than care received at hospitals and nursing homes.

The HealthKeeperz home medical equipment and supplies division helps patients and families across North Carolina maintain independence, dignity, and an active lifestyle. We deliver essential equipment and supplies so people can recover at home comfortably after an illness. We have most needs covered, from nutritional and incontinence supplies, to catheters and oxygen. We also provide equipment and supplies such as hospital beds, seat lift chairs, and oxygen, so those with chronic illnesses can remain at home for as long as possible rather than going to a group-setting.

Through the Community Alternatives Program (CAP) case management services for disabled adults, we deliver compassionate case management services so that patients can receive the care, services, support, and supplies they need to stay where they feel most comfortable - at home.

No one should have to go through a hospice experience without the support of a hospice agency. HealthKeeperz provides state-of-the-art comfort care when curative treatments are no longer desired by patients and their families. We also care for the families of hospice patients, with emotional and spiritual support. Our hospice services include skilled nursing, physicians and nurse practitioners, pastoral care, medical social work, a bereavement program, and more.

Employing 120 people at 13 offices throughout NC, HealthKeeperz’s goal is to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of each person receiving our care. Our organization is continuing to grow throughout NC, and we are contributing to workforce expansion by actively hiring CAP case managers.

About HealthKeeperz: A home health services company providing case management, hospice care, and home medical equipment, HealthKeeperz is certified by Medicare and Medicaid, licensed by the NC Division of Health Service Regulation, and is a member of the NC Association of Home and Hospice Care, NC Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers, and the Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care. In addition, HealthKeeperz’s Home Medical Equipment Department has received accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
