Alan Porter has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. Individuals profiled in Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After serving for 21 years in the U.S. Army as a Tank Commander and finishing his career as a Blackhawk Instructor Pilot, Mr. Porter retired in 1993 and continued with a successful career in the real estate and mortgage industry that thrived for over a decade. However, following a slew of medical emergencies that befell several members of his family, he grew to appreciate the value of high-quality insurance products that prevented them from falling into debt and falling victim to financial ruin from the high cost of medical expenses. This inspired Mr. Porter to become an expert in cash value life insurance, and fixed and fixed-indexed annuities. He opened his firm Strategic Wealth Strategies in 2011. As a Certified Financial Fiduciary (CCF), via the National Association of Certified Financial Fiduciaries, he guides individuals in reducing and possibly eliminating both their debts and taxes.
Mr. Porter also helps individuals in setting up tax-free retirement plans that eliminate the risks associated with traditional stock portfolios that only increase these risks and coaches his retiring clients on how to guarantee income for their lifetime, even if some of their assets run out. He educates his clients on the effective interest cost that they are paying to the financial institutions, compounding for the financial institutions and not for themselves, and educates them on the financial strategies the wealthy and financial institutions have been using for years to create wealth.
Mr. Porter earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1989 while he served in the military. Also, while in the military, Mr. Porter was a member of the U.S. team that won the World Helicopter Championship in 1981 and was inducted into the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. A consummate professional, Mr. Porter is a member of the National Society of Financial Educators, the National Association of Certified Financial Fiduciaries, and is a Master Mentor of the nationally known Circle of Wealth financial education program. He now operates in Fayetteville, NC.
