Fayetteville Technical Community College’s newly branded website has earned two international honors recognizing excellence in digital design and communications: a 2026 Silver w3 Award and a 2026 Gold MarCom Award.

The website was creatively designed and built by Valerie Newton, FTCC’s executive director for marketing and communications, and Anthony Orengo, the College’s web administrator. Their collaboration produced a modern digital presence that strengthens FTCC’s institutional brand and connects students, employees and community members with the College’s programs, services and opportunities.

“These honors are a tremendous recognition of the vision, creativity and expertise that Valerie Newton and Anthony Orengo brought to this important initiative,” said FTCC President Dr. Mark Sorrells in a press release. “I am deeply appreciative of their leadership and equally grateful to the many members of our FTCC team who contributed their ideas, input and thoughtful feedback throughout the development of our new website. This achievement demonstrates what is possible when we unite around a common purpose and work together as one team. The result is not only an outstanding digital presence for our College, but broad recognition of what can be accomplished through a collective vision and shared purpose.”

The w3 Awards celebrate excellence in digital content, design and experiences. Sanctioned by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, the international competition recognizes organizations and creators whose work helps shape the digital landscape.

The MarCom Awards recognize outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals in web, print, video and strategic communications. Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the competition receives approximately 6,000 print and digital entries annually from dozens of countries.

Together, the awards recognize FTCC’s commitment to creativity, innovation and effective digital communication.
