A longstanding family business in Fayetteville is sharing exciting updates about the future of their company. Warren Insurance Group is now Highstreet Warren Insurance Group and has just moved into a new office.
Mike Warren started with Nationwide Insurance in 1985 as an agent until about 2010. In that 2010 to 2012 time frame, Mike and about 20 other exclusive nationwide agents, who were all about to go independent, formed their own conglomerate called Highland Insurance Group, where they all came together as one entity.
That collaboration laid the groundwork for the agency’s next major evolution. In 2021, the company began looking into merger opportunities.
“Highland Insurance Group vetted a handful of these large outfits that were going around the country, buying insurance agencies, and we ended up vetting and moving forward with one called High Street Insurance & Financial Services, a very young private equity company that had an opportunity to kind of get in on the ground floor, per se, and help grow and build this brand and this company. So we followed through with that and finalized our merger and acquisition with them in December of 21,” shared Highstreet Warren Insurance Group President Taylor Warren.
Mike passed away in 2022, and his children Taylor Warren and Lindsay Sarff assumed leadership of the company. While navigating the changes for the business and the loss of their father, they believed it was best to take the transition slowly.
“We are now starting our fifth year with Highstreet. It has been a wonderful relationship. It’s given us a lot of resources and new partnerships and relationships that we have developed, and at the end of the day, allows us to serve our community in a better capacity with the specialties that are offered, with just the resources that we have and just being able to really support a cause and a company that shared similar values and beliefs that we have. So our goal is still to be your local agent of choice. We want to be able to provide a one-stop shop for all your insurance needs, and really just support the community like we always have over the last 30-40 years,” remarked Warren.
Warren now serves as president, bringing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in risk management and insurance from East Carolina University, along with experience gained at another agency before joining his father’s firm. Sarff, a UNC Chapel Hill graduate who began her career in education, joined the agency after taking a planned leave of absence to raise her first child. What began as a temporary role helping with agency management evolved into a permanent transition; she now serves as chief operating officer, overseeing operations and organizational leadership.
Highstreet Warren Insurance Group has 15 in-office employees. Many staff members have been with the organization for a decade or more, including one employee who was among Mike Warren’s original hires and has remained with the firm for nearly 40 years. Several others have logged 10, 15 or 25 years of service. This long tenure underscores the agency’s culture of loyalty and stability, both for employees and clients.

Highstreet Warren Insurance is now located at 639 Executive Place Ste 200 Fayetteville, N.C. While the company previously had three locations in Fayetteville, the move to bring everyone under the same roof aims to optimize operations and create a better experience for staff and clients.
“With the way we do business today, in 2026, there’s really not a need for three locations in such close geographic proximity with the way insurance does business, at least. And so we made the decision for the culture of our business, to bring everybody together into one large space,” explained Sarff.
The new office provides more space for collaboration, room to expand their team and services and a better experience for clients and partners.
Historically a property and casualty agency, Highstreet Warren Insurance Group offers a broad portfolio of coverage, that includes things such as homeowners, auto and coverage for recreational “toys” such as boats, four-wheelers and golf carts. Through its affiliation with Highstreet, the firm now has access to an expanded range of products and expertise beyond what the local office directly services. This network approach allows the Fayetteville office to function as a one-stop entry point, coordinating solutions across multiple lines of insurance and financial protection under the Highstreet umbrella.
One of the most significant shifts the leadership is working to communicate is the agency’s status as an independent insurance operation with access to multiple carriers. After decades as an exclusive Nationwide office, many in the community still associate the agency solely with that brand. While Nationwide remains an important relationship, Highstreet Warren Insurance Group now has the ability to place business with a variety of major carriers. That independence enables the team to match clients with different markets and products depending on their risk profiles, budgets and coverage needs.
“The overarching goal is to continue to adapt to the world and the environments that are part of us now, and continue to have the resources to provide quality service and quality product, and to be able to support the community from an insurance aspect, and really stay on the front end of having the best in class technology, having the best in class carriers, having the best in class service and sticking to the core values that founded this company and just continue to offer those at a higher capacity and higher quality into the future,” shared Warren.
Throughout these transitions, Warren and Sarff emphasize that Highstreet Warren Insurance Group’s core purpose has not changed. The agency remains focused on providing thoughtful, consultative insurance solutions that protect families, businesses and assets from unexpected events.
“We’ve been grounded in our community and done a lot to support the community and the community has supported us back,” shared Warren.
“We are the same team. We’re the same company. We’re still here offering the same services. It’s just got a new look [and] we are elevating to be able to provide services in today’s day and age, and offer even more opportunities and options to our customers,” shared Sarff.
On Thursday, April 23, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Highstreet Warren Insurance Group is hosting a community event for agency partners and other community organizations that they partner with, clientele and tenants in the new building to invite them to come out and see the new space and enjoy some coffee and conversation.
