Dr. Dan McBrayer joined Fayetteville Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2008 after completing a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Fellowship at the Hughston Orthopaedics Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. During his fellowship, Dr. McBrayer concentrated his training on arthroscopic reconstruction of the hip, shoulder, and knee. After completing his fellowship, Dr. McBrayer focused his private practice in sports medicine, with particular emphasis on ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, hip and labral arthroscopy repair, and rotator cuff repairs. He also performs complex reconstructions and replacements of the shoulder. He performed the first reverse total shoulder in the Cape Fear region. He also serves as the team physician for the Fayetteville State Broncos as well as covering various area high school athletic teams. Dr. McBrayer was selected by his peers and currently serves as the Chief of Orthopaedics at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. He is a former member of the Medical Executive Committee for the hospital system and he is a current member of the credentialing committee.
