Murray Duggins, who has worked in the real estate industry for 30 years, became a 2021 recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine on Oct. 14. Duggins lead the expansion of United Realty to become a leader in single-family housing in North Carolina. He also has an impressive apartment portfolio; in fact, it is one of the most successful in the Carolinas.
The Order of the Long Leaf Pine is reserved as the highest honor from North Carolina governors. It is given to people “who have made significant contributions to the state and their communities through their exemplary service and exceptional accomplishments,” according to The Order of the Long Leaf Pine Society.
To wrap up the first day, attendees were able to meet up for a social event at the Brad Halling American Whiskey Ko. in Southern Pines where a $10,000 check was presented to the Joint Special Operations Foundation for their scholarship fund. Photo pr
