Attend the 7th Annual Food Safety Forum on Aug. 13

The 7th Annual Food Safety Summit, hosted in partnership between the Cumberland County Department of Public Health and Human Services and Fayetteville Technical Community College, is scheduled for Aug. 13. 

The event will be held in the FTCC Culinary Dining Room. Professionals across multiple sectors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to engage in timely discussions around food safety, workforce development and evolving regulatory issues.

Event Highlights:

  • Attendees will represent a wide range of industries including food manufacturing, restaurants and catering, agriculture and farming, government agencies, education and research and retail food service.
  • Sessions will cover foodborne illness prevention, sanitation and hygiene best practices, regulatory updates, supply chain traceability, workforce training and professional networking.
  • Chefs will lead live demonstrations.

This is a full day of food safety training beginning at 8 a.m. with registration and ending at 4:30 p.m. following closing remarks. Email tfavors@cumberlandcountync.gov to reserve a spot.
