After more than 30 years of service to the Fayetteville community, Mark-Air is moving into a new chapter.
In a printed announcement mailed to customers in late March, Mark-Air announced it would be merging with Bass Air Conditioning Company effective April 1, 2023. Both companies are under the same parent company NearU, a family of home services companies specializing in HVAC repair, installation, and maintenance.
According to the release, Bass Air Conditioning Co. has been serving the Fayetteville and surrounding areas for over 70 years, and shares Mark-Air’s commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
“We’ve been operating two brands in the same market for a while, and while we learned a whole lot by having two brands in that market, in both Bass-Air and Mark-Air, we found that by having those two companies come together, it would allow us to have a better ability of serving our customer bases and not being limited and not competing with each other. … we were able to create a lot of synergy, by having both come together and create what we would call a more consistent user experience…” shared Matt Cullen, NearU’s VP of Marketing.
Customers were notified that current service agreements with Mark Air would transfer over to Bass Air’s service agreements, and there would be no additional fees or applications needed.
“We were able to combine the best and brightest of both staffs together and we really feel like we’re ready to really engage with the market on a stronger level,” shared Regional Manager in the Sandhills area Ed Leezer.
All operations will now be run under the Bass-Air title.
“It’s really an exciting time for us and the culmination of what’s happened is really a very positive thing in so many ways, because the folks at Mark-Air that came over are just making Bass a stronger brand in this market...we just really feel that embracing this is is best overall for the business and for the customer experience. So we’re very excited about it,” remarked Leezer.
