Exciting new retail opportunities are coming to the busy intersection of Yadkin Road and Horseshoe Road, just minutes from Fort Bragg and I-295.
Horseshoe Commons is a new mixed-use development that will feature up to four modern retail buildings, with flexible spaces starting at 1,500 SF, along with approximately 180 planned apartment units that will bring a built-in customer base directly to the property.
“The developer, our client, is really excited about it. This is his biggest project. He's working on some other stuff in the community,” shared Grant Murray Real Estate Broker Richard Fox.
The project will be developed in three phases. Phase one will consist of the retail buildings and is expected to be completed by Q4 of 2027. Phase two will involve the development of storage units. Phase three will be the construction of the apartments.
With excellent roadway exposure, convenient access to Fort Bragg, and a growing residential customer base, this development offers an exciting opportunity for retailers, restaurants, medical offices and neighborhood services looking to expand in the Fayetteville market.
The developer is working with Contractor Warren Bishop to plan and execute construction. An official groundbreaking date has not yet been set, but construction is expected to begin soon.
Grant Murray Real Estate also recently closed on 14.46 acres at Gillis Hill Road and Raeford Road, where a new luxury apartment community is planned.
Neil Grant and Patrick Murray were the listing agents for the property owners, The Morgan Companies, and facilitated the sale of the property to the Stoa Group. The developer plans 312 apartment units on the land, along with parking spaces and a clubhouse.
“Stoa does some really fantastic communities across the Southeast,” remarked Principal, Broker-in-Charge and Co-founder of Grant-Murray Real Estate, LLC, Patrick Murray, CCIM, CLS.
They are expected to break ground on the project before the end of the year, but an exact date has not been confirmed.
Murray shared that these two projects are just a sample of the growth Fayetteville is currently seeing and anticipates for years to come.
“Overall, the market has been very good consistently in Fayetteville with developer interest. Particularly in the multifamily and retail sector, [those have] typically been the highest drivers of any new development in the market…there's a lot of new to the market tenants that have been touring, looking at space and trying to find sites. So there's a lot of positive activity, and I think over the next few years, [you’ll] start seeing a lot more quality projects being built,” shared Murray.
