Cumberland County Community Development (CCCD) is continuing its efforts to enhance citizen participation by inviting residents to register for upcoming public hearings to ask questions, learn more about funding programs and voice opinions.
The Five-Year Consolidated Plan (ConPlan) is a report that must be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The plan outlines the community's available resources and needs. It also establishes goals and strategies that Community Development will implement over the next five years (July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2030).
The Annual Action Plan (AAP) lists specific projects that will be undertaken during the 2025 Program Year, beginning July 1, 2025.
Cumberland County encourages residents and agencies to provide feedback on the 2025–2030 ConPlan and AAP. Community Development will host two virtual public hearings on March 25 and 26, 2025.

Dr. Geddis Dr. Janell Geddis assumed the role of president for Miller-Motte College’s Fayetteville campus in February of 2024. Dr. Geddis joined MMC with 15 years of experience in higher education, with most of her roles serving community
