National IT consulting and staffing firm expands to Cumberland County

By Staff Report, posted 2 years ago

A California-based IT and business consulting company is expanding to Cumberland County, creating 50 remote call center jobs.

The growth strategy of Fortuna BMC, Inc. is to hire and train skilled talents, such as post-service military members, veterans, and military spouses.

"Creating these types of employment opportunities for and within our local community brings financial stability, and it eases the post-service transition for many veterans. We're excited that Fortuna BMC selected our region as the place to create those meaningful connections, which will undoubtedly bridge the gap for the veterans," stated Rob Patton, FCEDC vice president.

Fortuna BMC provides customized information technology solutions, including contact center support, enterprise resource planning, information security, project management, business engineering, and organizational change management.

Additionally, Fortuna BMC has collaborated with the local community and educational organizations on workforce development and hiring initiatives, such as Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Technical Community College, NCWorks Career Center, Center for Economic Empowerment & Development, and more.

"We are eager to select Fayetteville for our expansion on the East Coast due to its proximity and connection to Fort Bragg, the largest military installation in the United States by population," said Jack Smith, CEO and founder of Fortuna BMC. "After our recent visit to Fayetteville, we are fully convinced that this is a welcoming community for organizations like Fortuna BMC that are passionate about connecting the military community to great job opportunities post-service."
