“Despite facing medical issues this year, Captain Freeman remained steadfast in his dedication to the fire service”, Town Manager Dane Rideout said in a press release, citing that the Captain set an example of perseverance to others by “showing that true professionalism extends beyond physical ability and includes mental fortitude and determination.”

“One of the key aspects of Captain Freeman’s work is his consistent willingness to assist in all situations, whether it be a traffic crash, a medical emergency, or a fire,” Rideout added. “His proactive approach ensures that not only are the immediate needs of those affected met, but his team can function more effectively and safely.”
