Fayetteville Fury Soccer Team welcomes new management; New coaches to lead women’s team

The Fayetteville Fury Soccer Team is excited to announce the strategic transition of Albeiro “AL” Florez to the esteemed role of Senior Club Advisor, stepping up from his previous position as General Manager. The Fayetteville Fury Team is pleased to announce the appointment of Dustin Lee as General Manager and Ashley Blake as Assistant General Manager. Lee was the previous Assistant General Manager and Blake was the Community Engagement Direction. 

As the General Manager of the Fayetteville Fury, Lee's unique blend of sports expertise,

entrepreneurial insights, and entertainment industry knowledge promises to usher in an

exciting new era for the team. When asked his thoughts on this promotion, Lee expressed in a press release, “I am super excited. I know with growth and change there are always obstacles but I know it’ll be better for the club. I have a good team behind me.”

Ashley Blake 

Ashley Blake brings a wealth of experience in community relations and development to

her role as Assistant General Manager. With a passion for sports and community

engagement, Blake has dedicated herself to fostering meaningful connections between

the Fayetteville Fury and its local community. Blake's extensive experience in community outreach and relationship building has been instrumental in bridging the gap between the team and its fans. Through her innovative approach and exceptional communication skills, Blake has implemented successful community engagement programs and events, including youth clinics, charity drives, and fan meet-and-greets.

The Fayetteville Fury is delighted to announce the appointment of two respected coaches, Bryan Madej and Justin Terranova, to lead the Fury Women’s team in the upcoming season of the USL W League. Their expertise and dedication to player growth aligns perfectly with our commitment to developing excellence in our women's soccer players.

Bryan Madej joins with a coaching record of 142-92-14 overall and 87-33-11 in USA South Conference action. With two USA South Conference Tournament championships, two NCAA Division III National Tournament berths, and coaching 45 all-conference selections, including 19 first-team nominees, Madej's tenure at Methodist University reflects his commitment to excellence. His coaching philosophy prioritizes player development and academic achievement, evident in the team's recognition for academic excellence by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. 

A former standout player at Methodist University, Madej holds coaching diplomas from the NSCAA and has contributed significantly to local soccer development as Director of Coaching for the Liberty Point Soccer Club and coach for Terry Sanford High School's varsity girls' soccer team, embodying a dedication to fostering talent both on and off the field. 

Justin Terranova, with a coaching record of 216-150-35 and 15 seasons of 10 or more victories at Methodist University. A former player and coach at various levels, Terranova brings extensive expertise to his new role. His track record includes leading Methodist to the USA South regular season title in 2023 and earning numerous coaching accolades. With a focus on player development and community engagement, Terranova's appointment signals a significant advancement for the Fury Women's Team.

As the Fayetteville Fury women's team prepares for the upcoming season, Madej and Terranova will play integral roles in shaping the team's competitive strategy and guiding players on their journey to success. Their leadership and expertise will be instrumental in helping the Fury achieve its goals and make a positive impact in the USL W League.
