Southern Pines completes move to Town Hall

By Staff Report, posted 1 hour ago

The Town of Southern Pines is in the final phase of its move to the new Town Hall, marking a major milestone with the first Town Council meeting and a community open house scheduled next week.

Town Council will hold its first meeting in the newly renovated Council Chambers on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. All future Town Council meetings and select advisory board meetings will be held at Town Hall.

Meeting attendees will enter the Council Chambers on the ground floor from the rear parking lot. Additional on-street parking is available on W. Massachusetts Avenue and SW Broad Street.

The community is also invited to the Town Hall Open House on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. This family-friendly, drop-in event will offer a behind-the-scenes look at Town Hall, interactive activities, opportunities to meet Councilmembers and Town staff and a chance to learn more about the services provided by Town departments.

The Inspections Department is also relocating to Town Hall from the Community Development facility this week, marking the completion of staff relocations associated with the new facility. As part of these transitions, the Parks & Recreation Department has moved from the second floor of the Campbell House to the Community Development Building at 801 SE Service Road.

“This is an exciting milestone for Southern Pines,” shared Town Manager Reagan Parsons in a press release. “We have received positive feedback from residents and customers who have already visited Town Hall to do business. Moving Council meetings into the new Chambers is a significant step in this exciting project. I want to thank our staff and contractors for their thoughtful input and diligence in creating a modern, accessible facility that further enables us to continue providing the high-quality services our community expects.”
