The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra (FSO) will present its annual Side-by-Side Concert with the Fayetteville Symphony Youth Orchestra (FSYO) on March 30 at Methodist University's Huff Concert Hall. The doors will open at 3:00 p.m. and the performance will begin at 4:00 p.m..
Join the orchestra in celebrating the hard work of their students and music educators in the Fayetteville Symphony's annual Side-by-Side Concert. Students from Fayetteville Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform a concert with their counterparts in the FSO, led by Music Director Stefan Sanders. The Youth Orchestra meets once a week, led by members of the FSO, to prepare music for this and other concerts throughout the school year. These educators will play in the orchestra with their students, creating a memorable learning experience for the young musicians.
"One of the most exciting aspects of co-conducting the youth orchestra is getting to work with some of the most talented youth in our area," added FSYO conductor Daniel McCloud in a press release. "And because of this, we get to tackle music that is really challenging and musically fulfilling." The FSO will also perform selections independently for the youth orchestras and concertgoers to start the show.
Tickets can be purchased online here, by contacting the FSO office at (910) 433-4690, or by purchasing tickets at the door the day of the concert. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
