Plus-size apparel shop to open in downtown Fayetteville

By Savanah Ramsey, posted 3 years ago

Chances take courage and that is exactly what Mo Latrice, owner of Beauty Within World, has as she is set to open her business this Saturday at 11:30 a.m..

The shop is located at 429 Person Street in Fayetteville.

Beauty Within World offers apparel for plus sized women and allows customers to shop while finding peace and self-confidence.

The decision to open the business is near and dear to her heart.

“I have a twin sister and a baby sister, and she suffered from obesity,” said Latrice. “She was always down when it came to clothing and seeing women wearing clothes that weren’t her size. Over the years, I questioned myself about what I could do to make her bring out her inner person to let her know it's not about her size.”

With the push from her sister, Latrice began putting in the work to make this a realty.

“I came up with Beauty Within World off the top of my head, but it doesn’t matter who you are. You’re beautiful, and I want people to come into my store feeling that is how I want them to feel,” Latrice added.

The grand opening will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate, where Latrice’s family, friends and new customers will be able to come in and look at the different clothing offered and enjoy the the store. On the day of the opening, everything in the store will be 20 percent off.
