The Fayetteville Fury recently announced its new home at D.T. Carter Stadium at E.E. Smith High School. D.T. Carter Stadium is a state-of-the-art facility that seats over 3,000 fans. The Fury’s first home game at the stadium will be on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. against Soda City FC.
In addition to the new home venue, the Fury is also thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with E.E. Smith High School. This partnership goes above and beyond soccer, and will include the following:
“We are thrilled to be partnering with E.E. Smith High School and to call D.T. Carter Stadium our new home,” said General Manager and Head Coach Al Florez in a press release. “E.E. Smith is a pillar of the Fayetteville community, and we are honored to be a part of their rich history and tradition. We are also excited to offer internship opportunities to their students and to work with their athletics department to enhance their programs. This partnership is a win-win for both organizations and the Fayetteville community.”
The Fury gains a new home stadium and the opportunity to connect with the E.E. Smith community. E.E. Smith students gain access to internship opportunities, exposure to the professional sports industry and the opportunity to learn from and train with professional athletes.
The partnership also aligns with the Fury’s commitment to community engagement. The Fury is committed to giving back to the Fayetteville community and supporting its youth. The partnership with E.E. Smith High School is one way that the Fury is fulfilling this commitment.
Tickets can be purchased online at https://fayettevillefury.com or at the stadium box office on game day.
The Fury also encourages E.E. Smith High School students to apply for the internship opportunities that will be available through the strategic partnership. More information about the internship opportunities can be found on the Fury’s website under Organization -> Volunteering.
