Sampson County road to close for pipe replacements; Road will close at various times over the month

By Staff Report, posted 1 year ago

A road north of Clinton will close several times over the next month for maintenance ahead of it being resurfaced.

Keener Road between U.S. 701 (Hobbton Highway) and N.C. 403 (Faison Highway) will close at various times between Sept. 30 and Oct. 31. During the closure, N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will replace crossline pipes.

NCDOT will alert drivers ahead of a closure by updating DriveNC.gov and communicate with our local partners. Drivers can take Ashford Road, Enoch Road and U.S. 701 as a detour.

The work is happening before the road is resurfaced, which is expected to happen next year.

For real-time travel information, visit DriveNC.gov or follow NCDOT on social media.
