Ken and Martha Arnold, both Veterans, were looking for a new adventure. Now, they’re just several weeks away from opening the doors to Wow Wow Lemonade at 2957 Town Center Drive in Fayetteville.
Wow Wow Lemonade serves specialty lemonades, smoothies, acai bowls and other healthy bites. Martha explained that she loved that the acai bowls provided a healthy option to fulfill her craving for something sweet.
“Being retired from the military, [I’m used] to always thinking of my health …the acai bowl was something that I had never tried, and when I tried it, just knowing that they used fresh ingredients and it was so tasty–and I’m a person that loves sweets–-I was able to get my sweet tooth fulfillment with something that was so tasty, but not feeling guilty afterwards,” shared Martha.
Martha said she thought this concept would appeal to other soldiers as well who were also looking to prioritize eating healthy. Wow Wow Lemonade uses fresh, natural ingredients.
Ken shared that he and Martha hoped this business would bring something new to the market in Fayetteville.
“Of course, there’s a lot of coffee shops, a lot of ice cream places and things of that nature, but we felt and hoped that we will have a little niche in the area for offering acai bowls and different flavored lemonade,” expressed Ken.
The business is expected to open in the next 60 days or so. They’re currently reviewing applications and preparing for interviews as they work to fill their staff positions before opening.
“[We feel] nervous, but excited at the same time. It's a new adventure. I think we're definitely excited just to bring something a little different to our community, nervous because you never know as to how it's going to be received… I'm praying that the same feeling, or the impact that I had when I tried it, just praying that others will feel the same way as well when they try it,” shared Martha.
