Robert M. Van Geons, CEcD, President & CEO of the Fayetteville Cumberland County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC), was recently selected to serve a two-year term as a Board Member on the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) 2024 Board of Directors.
“I’m honored to join the IEDC Board, and grateful to FCEDC’s Board of Directors for their support.” shared Robert in a press release. “IEDC allows us to collaborate and engage with thought leaders from around the world, helping us deploy innovative ideas to better serve Fayetteville, Cumberland County, and our community partners.”
Elected during the annual board meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 2023, at IEDC's 2023 Annual Conference in Dallas, TX., Robert will be joining 25 economic developers from around the world.

Van Geons will be joining the 4,800-member association on Jan. 1, 2024.
