Sampson Regional Medical Center (SampsonRMC) is pleased to announce that Ashlee Hornick, PA-C, has joined Sampson Orthopedic Group, expanding access to expert orthopedic care in the Clinton community. Hornick will work alongside Dr. Mark Moriarty, providing diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for all orthopedic conditions.

Hornick brings six years of experience in orthopedic medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) from Lake Erie College in Ohio and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). A member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), she is passionate about helping patients regain mobility and return to the activities they enjoy most.

During her graduate studies, Hornick had the opportunity to round in orthopedics at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where building relationships with patients and monitoring their progression with positive outcomes inspired her to pursue a career in orthopedics. “What drew me to orthopedics was seeing how patients could go from limited mobility to pain-free activity,” shared Hornick in a press release. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of that journey.”

Hornick specializes in treating conditions such as osteoarthritis and sports injuries. Her approach to care emphasizes listening to patients and involving them in every step of the decision-making process.

“We’re excited to welcome Ashlee to the team,” stated Lynn Alexander, Practice Director for Sampson Regional Professional Services in a press release. “Her clinical skills and patient-first approach are a natural fit for the orthopedic team. Ashlee’s addition not only enhances our ability to serve patients more efficiently, but also supports our continued growth in meeting the orthopedic needs of our rural community.”

Originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Hornick is excited to serve in a rural setting, where she looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients.

Sampson Orthopedic Group, which opened Fall 2024, offers care for adults and children, treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including the following surgical and non-surgical services:
