
Capt. Porter has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism and a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of the College community. Over the past several years, she has capably performed many of the responsibilities associated with the assistant director role, earning this promotion through her steadfast work ethic, dedication to excellence and unwavering service.
Since joining FTCC in 2018 as a security officer, Capt. Porter has advanced rapidly through the ranks. Within a year, she was promoted to lieutenant, and she later earned the role of senior lieutenant, where she served as the College’s lead Title IX investigator. In that capacity, she has been widely recognized for her professionalism, integrity, and ability to conduct thorough and compassionate investigations. Most recently, she has continued to serve as senior lieutenant while also assuming the responsibilities of captain during extended leadership absences, further demonstrating her readiness for this role.
A proud FTCC alumna, Capt. Porter earned her associate degree in criminal justice before continuing her academic journey to complete a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees. Her dedication to personal and professional growth reflects her deep commitment to serving others and advancing public safety. Capt. Porter’s leadership, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on the College.
Once Upon a Bite launched in early 2026 and has continued to grow through local markets, festivals, private events and community partnerships throughout the Fayetteville area.
