Proposed precinct changes, polling site data, and an interactive map is available here.
Harnett County Board of Elections Director, Claire Jones stated adjusting voting precincts is essential to ensure that every voice is fairly represented, and that the democratic process remains accessible to all.
“As populations shift, new communities emerge, and geographic boundaries evolve, it is critical to reassess precinct lines. This process not only reflects the changing demographics but also ensures that voters’ needs and concerns are addressed. Public comment plays a crucial role in this adjustment process, offering an opportunity for citizens to actively participate, voice their concerns, and provide local insight,” said Jones in a press release.
All residents are invited to review the changes on the website and share their perspective during the public meeting.
