By Staff Report, posted 7 months ago

Cumberland County Community Development has made available for review a draft of the plan year (PY) 2025 – 2029 Consolidated Plan and PY 2025 Annual Action Plan, from July 15 through Aug. 15, 2025. Copies of the plan are available for review at the Community Development office located at 707 Executive Place, Fayetteville, NC 28305.

A public hearing will be held during the regular Cumberland County Board of Commissioners meeting Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, at 9 a.m., in Room 118 of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse. The public hearing may also be viewed during the live stream of the commissioners meeting available on the County’s website at cumberlandcountync.gov, YouTube Channel and on CCNCTV Spectrum Channel 5.

The Consolidated Plan is a report that must be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) which describes the needs and available resources in the community. The Consolidated Plan also establishes priorities and strategies that Community Development will undertake to meet the needs of the community during the next five years (July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2030). The Annual Action Plan describes specific projects that will be executed in the 2025 Program Year, which began July 1, 2025.

A draft copy of the plan is available on the Cumberland County website at cumberlandcountync.gov/departments/community-development/plans-reports under the “ConPlan” tab.

Community Development is committed to providing equal access to its facilities, programs and services for persons with disabilities. Individuals requesting any form of reasonable accommodations for public meetings/hearings should do so five business days prior to the advertised meeting.
