FirstHealth of the Carolinas is pleased to announce that EliteCare of Fayetteville, Urgent Care & Family Clinic will officially join the FirstHealth network, becoming FirstHealth Family Medicine-EliteCare, effective Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The clinic, located at 3622 N. Main Street in Hope Mills, will continue to serve patients in its current location, with Travis Ross, PA-C, remaining on staff to provide high-quality care.

A native of Fayetteville, Ross graduated from Cape Fear High School. He’s served the Cumberland County community since 2005 and has been with EliteCare since 2014. He earned a

Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University. With nearly 20 years of experience in patient care, Ross remains committed to providing high-quality medical services to the community.

“This partnership will increase our clinic’s ability to serve the Hope Mills community by providing access to the latest technologies, specialists and innovations in health care. I am thrilled for the opportunity to be part of FirstHealth, an organization that prioritizes patient care and experience,” shared Ross in a press release.

The office will operate with limited services from April 1-14, 2025, for staff training on new billing, scheduling and medical records systems.

The practice will transition to FirstHealth’s Epic electronic health record, providing patients with access to an online patient portal through FirstHealth MyChart. MyChart allows patients the opportunity to manage appointments, review test results, communicate with their provider and even refill a prescription all from the convenience of a phone, tablet or computer.

At this time, the clinic will continue accepting walk-in patients. However, established patients are encouraged to call ahead for walk-in visits to ensure the most efficient care.

According to Dan Barnes, D.O., president of the FirstHealth Physician Group, the practice is a welcome addition to the FirstHealth network.

“We are excited to welcome Travis and the dedicated team at EliteCare to the FirstHealth family,” said Dr. Barnes in a press release. “This transition reflects our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional primary care services and enhancing access to quality health care in the communities we serve.”
