Ride the Vibe! The ‘Can Do’ Coldwell Banker Trolley Rolls in Downtown Fayetteville

Sponsored Content provided by Bianca Shoneman - President & CEO, Cool Spring Downtown District, Inc

A charitable, non-profit corporation formed in 2017, the Cool Spring Downtown District works to position Fayetteville as a vibrant center of artistic, cultural, civic, and commercial activity. The Cool Spring Downtown District is excited to announce recent advancements aimed at improving the quality of life for residents and the attractiveness of downtown Fayetteville.

These exciting developments include adding 22 new businesses to the city center’s hundreds of existing businesses, attractions, and unique sites. The Downtown District has also employed a concierge to improve the cleanliness of the downtown area and launched a free downtown trolley system on weekend evenings that transports residents into the heart of Fayetteville to sample the selection of award-winning restaurants and nationally recognized museums and attractions.

Named the “Can Do Coldwell Banker Molly Trolley,” this complimentary round-trip ride is available to Fayetteville residents and visitors on Friday and Saturday nights from 4:00 p.m. - 8 p.m. The trolley is funded thanks to generous support from Ralph and Linda Huff, partners at Coldwell Banker Advantage, and the Fayetteville New Car Dealers Association. The trolley makes stops near popular downtown Fayetteville attractions such as the Cape Fear Regional Theatre, Museum of the Cape Fear, Freedom Memorial Park, Amtrak Station, Segra Stadium, Festival Park, Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, Market House, Fascinate-U Children’s Museum, Liberty Point, and several other locations.

The Coldwell Banker Trolley is also available to rent for private group tours and memorable occasions such as business trips, weddings, reunions, or gatherings of family and friends.

Whether you ride the trolley downtown or take your own transportation, please consider supporting the local economy by buying a Cool Spring Downtown District eGift card, good for purchases at more than 35 Fayetteville retail businesses, attractions, and restaurants, including Xscape Factor, White Trash & Colorful Accessories, Turner Lanes, City Center Gallery & Books, Blue Moon Cafe, The Cotton Exchange Vintage Mall, Gaston Brewing Company, Lodestone Art & Antiques, Pierro's Italian Bistro, and more.

Through a partnership with Yiftee, the eGift card makes it simple for customers to spend local dollars with local businesses. The convenient, all-digital card is also free for downtown businesses to enroll in and participate.

If you buy the digital card as a gift, you can send it to your family member, friend, neighbor, or co-worker via email or text, allowing the recipient to make purchases at participating merchants in the Cool Spring Downtown District program. Since the launch of the program, Cool Spring has sold more than 400 gift cards valued at $20,000.

Supported by generous funding from the City of Fayetteville and the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, the Cool Spring Downtown District will continue to produce enticing events, entertainment options, and economic development opportunities to benefit residents and business owners across the Sandhills region.

If you are a business owner looking to expand or establish a business, we hope that you will view our beautiful downtown district as a viable investment opportunity. If your business would like to enroll in the eGift card program, please send an email to info@coolspringfay.org

We also invite residents to take a ride on our free trolley on Friday and Saturday nights to explore what downtown has to offer and support the local community. For more information about trolley reservations and downtown investment opportunities, please email Bianca Shoneman at Bianca@CoolSpringFay.org.
