John Bellamy is the Executive Director and Operations Manager for the Center for Defense and Homeland Security (CDHS) at Fayetteville State University (FSU).  The CDHS was established in December 2010 and serves as a catalyst in developing the next generation of National Security STEM professionals. The CDHS focus areas are Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Emergency Management, and National Security Training Programs. John helped establish the CDHS Cybersecurity Academy in 2014, which provides accelerated hands-on Certification Training in the fields of IT and Cybersecurity. He works with military officials, business and industry leaders at all levels to help provide opportunities for its graduates to fill critical jobs in the technology and cyber workforce. Prior to joining the FSU team, John served as Executive Assistant for the BRAC Regional Task Force/Fort Bragg Regional Alliance, where he helped prepare an eleven-county region surrounding Fort Bragg for economic growth and infrastructure development resulting from the relocation of Army Reserve Command and Army Forces Command Headquarters from Fort McPherson, GA to Fort Bragg, NC.
