Cape Fear Valley Health’s Hoke Hospital will host a free community health fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, to celebrate the hospital’s 10th anniversary. The hospital, which opened on March 9, 2015, is located at 210 Medical Pavilion Dr., Raeford.
In addition to multiple health screenings, the event will include family activities, giveaways, refreshments and music. Vehicles from the Hoke County Sheriff’s Department and Puppy Creek Fire Department will be on display, as well as a Cape Fear Valley/Hoke County EMS ambulance and LifeLink helicopter.
“We are grateful to have been able to care for the citizens of Hoke and surrounding counties for the past 10 years,” said President of Hoke Healthcare Sonja McLendon in a press release. “We invite all of our friends and neighbors to celebrate with us as we enter into a new decade of growing our services to meet the needs of this diverse community.”
Inside the hospital, attendees can get their blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI, pulmonary function and glucose checked. There will also be stations to learn hands-only CPR, receive a medication review from a pharmacist and talk with professionals about multiple medical concerns and services available at Cape Fear Valley Health. Attendees who visit the health fair portion of the event will also receive an additional free gift.
