Caribou Coffee®, a global, Midwest-based brand  coffee brand with community-centered coffeehouses, is continuing to expand nationwide.

Known for their “high-quality, handcrafted coffee-forward beverages and craveable food options” in more than 800 coffeehouses worldwide, Caribou Coffee serves 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee beans and crafts each menu item with the purpose to create day-making experiences.

Caribou Coffee is celebrating 12 new coffee houses in North Carolina and continues to open new locations local to the GFBJ area with the most recent grand opening taking place for their new Southern Pines location in mid August.

Now, they’re moving down further south with a new location currently under construction at 5837 Lakewood Drive in Hope Mills. The company has opened up hiring for shift leads, and assistant managers on their website and on LinkedIn

A grand opening date has yet to be announced. The GFBJ team reached out to the company for comment, but have yet to receive a response.

Caribou has made significant progress in its retail expansion plan through company-owned development as well as its previously announced franchise program that is expected to double domestic locations in the coming years.

The Midwest-based brand has celebrated several recent openings in new and existing markets through both company and franchisee-owned development, opening coffeehouses in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Minnesota in the last year. Through a recently expanded development agreement with current franchisees, similar coffeehouse development is expected internationally.

Additional coffeehouses are expected to open by the end of the year, several of which are in the Charlotte metro area.
