The Fayetteville Cumberland Economic Development Corporation announced on May 17 that
MAARJA HIGHTOWER will move into the position of director of marketing.
Hightower became the director of communications for FCEDC in 2021, but has spearheaded communications and marketing initiatives for national and global organizations for over 18 years, making her a fitting candidate for the marketing position.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in contemporary media and journalism from the University of South Dakota and a Master of Business Administration degree in leadership and organizational theory from the University of South Florida.
To wrap up the first day, attendees were able to meet up for a social event at the Brad Halling American Whiskey Ko. in Southern Pines where a $10,000 check was presented to the Joint Special Operations Foundation for their scholarship fund. Photo pr
