Beauty, bliss and business; WBC welcomes the community to upcoming Resource Day

By Faith Hatton, posted 11 months ago

The Women's Business Center of Fayetteville @ CEED (WBC)  is inviting the community to join them on Monday, July 28, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. for speed networking, expert tips and wellness insights at their Beauty, Bliss & Business Resource Day.

“We did it on a Monday, which is different from other Resource Days because that’s the best day for those in the beauty and wellness industry,” shared WBC Director Danice Langdon. “That’s the day that they're usually not seeing clients.”

The event is aimed at beauty professionals, wellness experts or aspiring entrepreneurs in the area who are looking to grow and launch their own businesses. The WBC has partnered with Blissful Alchemists, located at 414 Ray Ave. in Fayetteville to host the event.

Blissful Alchemists has been a longtime supporter of WBC, and has hosted many events in the past including HERWeek events and earlier in 2025, the HERPitch Competition. According to Owner & Founder of Sunshine Beauty & Bliss and Blissful Alchemists Brittany Campbell, she is just returning the support that she received at the start of her business journey.

“When I first started, back in 2015 I went to CEED and they were part of my beginning. They were part of me getting grants with the city, helping me know the steps to start with my business, I used to go to meet up in different networking events back in 2015 so we've just developed this relationship over time where we've done more and more together, and it really helped jump start my whole business,” shared Campbell.

Now the WBC is looking to continue to support blossoming business owners with this new Resource Day focusing on the unique needs of the health, beauty and wellness industry.

Along with vendors from local suppliers and beauty based businesses, two panels will be taking place focusing on all sides of business ownership.

“We'll be taking two different blocks; one will be all about that business structure of things. Oftentimes you don't know what you're getting into, so you want to hear from that city official to make sure that your permits are correct that you're allowed to have a salon or a Wellness Center in that area because of zoning,” said Campbell. “We'll be asking questions about the things that I didn't know before opening, that you need to know going into it.”

The second portion of panelists will focus on the “bliss” of owning a business and not losing sight of your own mental health and wellness. There will be vendors who will focus on the importance of mental health while running your business.

The most important feature of the event will be the speed networking which will be taking place for the entire Resource Day.

“What other time do you get to be in a room with 30 subject matter experts who are there at no cost to you, no sales pitch, nothing being sold, literally, sharing knowledge and information with you and answering your questions one on one. When you're in the speed networking, it's literally just the sharing of information. You will not walk away without learning something,” shared Langdon.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite and can be purchased here
